A Thank You to all my Friends

I first want to say thank you to everyone who has looked at my blog.  I am truly humbled by the response I have gotten.  To the wonderful people of the US, Canada, Europe and all the rest of the people across the world who have taken interest in my work. I only hope my first book can live up to the overwhelming response I have gotten.  I also want you all to know I am inspired in my writing from hence forth to try to do justice to the Nelson Family and all the other characters in my books. I am almost done in my work of the second book of the trilogy.  I am dying to tell you what it is about and where it will take place, but alas, I cannot because it will spoil the first book. I promise I will tell you a little about it when The Silver is out and on the market.  I really do hope you all enjoy these works. I have put so much work and love into the writing of these stories. I do wish to say at this time, I don't care if I make a dime in the publishing of these stories. I can't give them away for free. (My publisher won't let me, lol.)  My true wish is to have all of you wonderful folks curled up in you favorite chairs or beds, whether in day or at night, enjoying the reading of whatever story of mine you are reading at the time. That would be a true blessing for me. I have always lived with the idea of just making a mark on existence that is truly mine and only mine. That is all I ever wanted. I feel after I have seen the response I have gotten that I have, sort of, already done that. I want to make as big a mark as I possibly can. A positive mark that will cause the people I have affected to be happy and positive both toward themselves and to those around them. That is all we can hope for and I hope to do that. These stories I have to tell are many. I will always promise to my readers that I will do all I can to tell them all. I believe in the power of a story whether it is fictional or real to have a great affect on the way we co-exist with our fellow man. (Or woman, as the case may be, we have to be politically correct now lol) In closing, I want to thank you all again for your response to a humble and really quite ordinary fellow just trying to get what I have to tell out there so people can read it.  Thank You so much. 

My Progress

My friends, I am so sorry for not posting in a long while.  I have been busy with alot of different things going on.  I am back and will post on a regular basis from now on I promise.
Just to let you know, the book has been edited and is now in art production stage.  This is a facinating process.  They are trying to make my book "beautiful" for you to see.  This whole process can be grueling at times but I am enjoying every minute of it.  I hope you are still looking foward to the finished project.  Right now I am looking at the fall of 2011 for the book to be released. I am both excited and a little overwelmed at the same time. I really hope you will enjoy reading it after all it takes to get it released.  I also want you to know I am working on the second book in the series.  I can't tell you about it as it will spoil the ending of The Silver.  So you'll have to get a copy of The Silver and read it first so the second book will make sense to you. The second book will pick up just after The Silver leaves off.
I also would like you to know I now have a registered domain name. It is http://www.rlharlan.com/, you can access my blog by going to this link. I am told this is the thing to do and it makes it easier to remember and to connect to.
